Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols (buffalo heads) awards 10, 15, or 20 Free Spins respectively. Retriggers are possible during the round, so once it kicks off, it can run for a good while.
During the Free Spins round, massive Mega Symbols of 2×2 or 3×3 can appear, filling multiple positions at once and making it possible to hit wins across many paylines in a single spin.
The Buffalo (Wild) symbol can substitute for any symbol except the Scatter. Wilds appear more frequently during Free Spins, and combined with Mega Wilds, they can multiply your winnings significantly.
Buffalo King is a high-volatility game. That means smaller wins don't come around often, but when they do hit, they hit big — especially during the free spins round, where the largest payouts are possible.

Buffalo King holds a special place in Pragmatic Play's slots portfolio. It's built for players who love high-volatility games — those willing to take bigger risks in pursuit of bigger wins. The moment I opened it at mod1 for the first time, it was clear why it has such a following.
The game is set against the vast prairies of North America — open plains, eagles soaring overhead, wolves racing across the fields, and massive herds of buffalo thundering through in clouds of dust. Set against this backdrop, a 6×4 reel grid with 4,096 paylines makes for a truly remarkable combination.
Like most high-volatility slots, the big wins in Buffalo King come from the free spins round. The base game does pay out, but those wins tend to be relatively modest. Once free spins trigger, the whole nature of the game changes.
The most exciting part of free spins is the Mega Symbols. These oversized symbols can cover 4, 9, or even more positions in a single spin. When those positions line up on a payline, the payout far exceeds what regular symbols offer. And if that Mega Symbol happens to be the Wild (buffalo)? That's when things get truly spectacular.
Many players feel a little frustrated early on with Buffalo King at mod1 — wins in the base game can be sparse. But patience pays off: once the Free Spins trigger, your entire balance can turn around in moments. That's why experienced players say you need to keep your balance managed when playing Buffalo King.
Buffalo King is a high-volatility game. Before playing at mod1, set yourself a budget and stick to it. Losing streaks are part of the game — but chasing losses and going beyond your limit is never the right move.
Mod1 has a wide selection of slot games, but Buffalo King stands out for a few reasons that have made it a favourite for many players. The combination of 6 reels and 4,096 paylines puts it well ahead of most slots — meaning there are far more ways to win on a single spin, as long as the symbols line up.
Pragmatic Play regularly updates their games, and mod1 always carries the latest versions. The graphics look stunning on mobile too — especially the animations when Mega Symbols land during Free Spins. Genuinely impressive.
Managing your bet size is crucial in high-volatility games. At mod1, you can start Buffalo King from the minimum bet. A good rule of thumb is to use 1% of your total budget per spin. For example, if you're playing with ৳5,000, set each spin to ৳50. That gives you 100 spins — more than enough chances for free spins to trigger.
The real joy of playing Buffalo King at mod1 is the anticipation — waiting for those three Scatters to land, for the free spins round to kick off, and for a Mega Wild to come flying in. That excitement is exactly what makes Buffalo King one of the most popular slots on mod1.
